We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic truck logistics dispatcher to join our growing logistics company. We are interested in applicants who possess the following:

  • Previous experience in the logistics and/or trucking industry (specifically dealing with reefer units)

  • Some trucking experience is helpful (dealing with any repair issues that may arise)

  • Strong knowledge of the DOT rules and regulations

  • Coordinate and assign drivers on loads on nation-wide routes, Maintain routes and resolves schedule problems for the purpose of ensuring all routes are covered.

  • Maintain positive working relationships with Drivers and Clients/Brokers.

  • Have the ability and interest in learning applicable software (Truck Logics, DAT Board, Cam Scanner, e-mail, ELD GPS, etc.)

  • Being able to analyze a situation quickly and provide viable solutions

  • Be a team player that can work closely and effectively with drivers, customers, management and vendors.

  • Be able to independently diffuse stress situations should they arise.

  • A good command of the English language both written and orally

  • A high school diploma or GED. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not mandatory.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has the skills and passion for seeking out hardworking, safety-conscious drivers, and highly skilled and experienced dispatchers. Applicants with the following qualifications will be highly considered:

  • The necessary skills to recruit drivers and dispatcher

  • The skills to be able to recruit and onboard drivers at a minimum of five per week

  • Scheduling drug tests based on driver’s location and schedule.

  • Perform detailed background checks

  • Securely collect and store documentation, such as drivers’ license, medical license, and all other documentation as required for DOT compliance.

  • The skills to be able to work independently

  • An understanding of each position that may need to be filled within FTS Logistics to be able to conduct the proper interviews

  • Be up to date with employment laws, legislation, and DOT compliance laws.

  • Knowledge of the processes used for recruitment and the ability to access databases

  • A Human Resources Bachelor’s degree is a plus but not required

  • Good command of the English language both orally and written
Those who have these qualifications, if hired, will be expected to:

  • Work closely with the department heads to determine their hiring needs.

  • Be able to select top-tier drivers without much guidance

  • Have a reliable computer and access to the internet

  • Possess a phone for remote communication

  • The skills to be able to interview and screen the proper candidates

  • Be able to work independently

  • Liaison with our insurance agent to get selected drivers approved and cleared for start date

  • Arranging transportation (flight, train, bus, car etc.) of new hire drivers to trucks.

  • Work with dispatchers to schedule new-hire orientations in Jacksonville, FL.
